Guide

How to Use marketOutlook.

From watchlist to screener to stock detail — here's how to get the most out of each part of the platform.

01

Start with the Watchlist

The Watchlist gives you a quick snapshot of your tracked stocks — price, change, RSI, ROC, and an overall signal. Use the market tabs (US / India / Other) to switch between regions. Click any row to go to the full stock detail page.

Tip

The signal badge (BUY / SELL / HOLD) is a composite of RSI, ROC, MACD, and moving average alignment. It's a starting point — not a trade recommendation.

02

Use the Screener to Rank Stocks

The Screener ranks the full stock universe (~500 stocks across all markets) using six different strategies. Switch between strategies using the tabs at the top, and between markets using the market selector.

📈 Momentum — composite RSI rank
🚀 Breakout — multi-factor breakout score
↩️ Mean Reversion — oversold with stable base
🔊 Volume Surge — unusual volume activity
📊 Trend Following — above MA50 + MA200 + bullish MACD
🏔️ 52W High — near annual high with volume

Click any column header to sort. Each screener shows 25 stocks per page with pagination. Click a row to open the full stock analysis.

03

Analyse a Stock in Depth

The stock detail page shows four sections:

Header Live price, daily change, signal badge, key stats (52W high/low, market cap, SMA50/200).
Momentum Panel ROC-20, RSI-14, MACD histogram, and SMA50/200 alignment — each with a bullish/bearish reading.
Price Chart Candlestick chart with SMA50 and SMA200 overlays. Switch between 1M / 3M / 6M / 1Y ranges.
RSI + MACD Charts Separate sub-charts showing RSI (14) with overbought/oversold bands, and MACD histogram + signal line.
04

Search for Any Stock

Use the search bar in the top navigation to find any stock by ticker symbol or company name. Type at least 2 characters and select from the dropdown — or press Enter with a known ticker (e.g. AAPL, RELIANCE.NS) to go directly to its detail page.

05

Reading Signals Correctly

Every signal on this platform is a momentum indicator — they describe what the market is doing, not what it will do. Use them to:

  • Narrow down a large universe to a focused watchlist
  • Confirm conviction on stocks you've already researched
  • Spot regime changes early (e.g. a BUY stock flipping to HOLD)
Important

These signals are not financial advice. Always apply your own fundamental analysis, risk management, and position sizing before placing any trade.
